WorkSmart automatically calculates holiday allowances for your employees based on their contract details.

  • For employees who work on a fixed salary basis, the holiday allowance is 5.6 weeks (28 days) paid holiday in a year

  • For employees who work on a hourly pay rate basis, the calculation depends on their contracted hours

    • Fixed hours contract - the holiday allowance is calculated based on their contracted hours per week and the number of days they normally work in a week

    • Irregular hours (including Zero hours) contract - the holiday allowance is calculated based on the average number of hours they have worked per week and the average number of days they have worked in a week since the start of your company's holiday year or their employment date whichever is the latest

You can check the holiday allowances for your employees in the Employee Directory app.
