Common questions

Section titled “Q: What is a working pattern?”A: A template of expected start/end times, break duration, working days, and total hours. Timesheets are compared to it to spot overtime or gaps.
Q: How do I submit a timesheet?
Section titled “Q: How do I submit a timesheet?”A: In Time Tracker, click Add Timesheet, enter start/end/break, add overtime or TOIL if any, leave a note if needed, then submit. Managers can enter on behalf of employees who missed clock-in.
Q: Can I edit after submitting?
Section titled “Q: Can I edit after submitting?”A: Yes, while status is Pending Approval. After approval, ask your manager or admin to reopen or amend.
Q: How do breaks affect payable hours?
Section titled “Q: How do breaks affect payable hours?”A: Break time is subtracted from total time. Enter the actual break so payable hours are accurate.
Q: When should overtime be approved?
Section titled “Q: When should overtime be approved?”A: Before or at submission. Add overtime hours (1.0x/1.5x/2.0x) and include a note; managers review and approve before payroll.
Q: What about TOIL?
Section titled “Q: What about TOIL?”A: If TOIL is enabled, log TOIL hours instead of overtime to add to the TOIL balance (not payroll). Managers approve the same way as overtime.
